The Syl Syl Toy Drive takes place Sunday, 2-4 p.m., at the Clock restaurant at 603 Poinsett Street.

The11th Annual Syl Syl Christmas Toy Drive is Sunday, Nov. 9 from 2-4 p.m. at the Clock at 603 West Poinsett Street.

The community is invited to bring unwrapped toys to the restaurant to help Upstate children in need this holiday season.

The toy drive is in honor of Sylvia Holtzclaw, who was killed with two others in a bank robbery at Blue Ridge Savings in 2003. No one has been arrested.

More than 1,300 toys were collected last year. The event is the kickoff to the Greer Police Department's Cops for Tots annual toy drive and distribution.

"Sylvia was a friend and all around great lady. The Clock Restaurants of Greer are privileged to participate in the Syl Syl Christmas Toy Drive, just as we were privileged to be a part of Sylvia’s life," Jimmy Chulkas, owner of the Clock, said.
