Nancy Smith was honored as the Volunteer of the Year by the The Korn Ferry Tour (formerly Web.com) Wednesday.
Smith and four tournaments on The Korn Ferry Tour were honored at the PGA TOUR’s annual tournament meetings on at TPC Sawgrass at Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
Smith has worked almost 20 years for the BMW Charity Pro-Am. She was the course chairperson at Keowee Vinyards when it was part of the rotation.
Course marshals, walking scorers and standard bearers are among hundreds of volunteers Smith manages at the Thornblade course. Volunteers, ages teens through the 70s, are from South Carolina and North Carolina.\
