Titans make Dodd No. 33 pick in NFL Draft

Kevin Dodd, who played his high school football at Riverside, was drafted No. 33 overall by the Tennessee Titans during the second of the 2016 NFL Draft on Friday.

Dodd, 23, had a breakout year for Clemson University in 2015 with 62 tackles, 12 sacks and 22.5 tackles for loss. His tackles for loss was second in the country behind teammate Shaq Lawson, who was the 19th pick overall by the Buffalo Bills Thursday.

Dodd, 6-5, 277, had eight tackles for loss in the two College Football Playoff games this past season. He had three sacks and five tackles for loss in the National Championship game versus Alabama.

Dodd and Lawson (Seneca HS) are the first pair of top 40 draft picks from Clemson since Steve Fuller (Spartanburg) and Jerry  Butler (Ware Shoals) in the 1979 draft.
