About 100 BMW cars assembled at the BMW Manufacturing facility in Greer were damaged Sunday when a Norfolk Southern train derailed in Jenkinsville in Fairfield County.

The train was about 85 miles from Greer on its way to Charleston when two locomotives derailed on Highway 215 about 3 p.m.

Ten train cars and 97 BMW vehicles were damaged, according to officials from Fairfield County. No injuries were reported and no traffic delays.
