Wade Cooper became the second Blue Ridge High School coach to resign within one month when he announced Tuesday he was leaving as head football coach to become defensive coordinator at Dorman.

Glenn Reese resigned last month as Blue Ridge boys basketball coach after two seasons, citing living 20 miles from the school and wanting to spend more time with his three children.

Cooper coached five seasons with Blue Ridge compiling a 31-23 record. His team finished 9-3 last season and shared the Peach Blossom AAA Region championship with Greer and Greenville.

Cooper will be rejoining Class AAAA-Region II. He was head coach at Boiling Springs High School before taking the Blue Ridge job.
