Wade stays unbeaten, Jarecki homers in Greer softball win

Davis, Bagley, Coker give plenty of hitting support

Brooke Wade earned her sixth pitching win without a loss, helping Greer to a 12-2  Region II-AAA softball victory over Greenville Friday.

Brooke Wade earned her sixth pitching win without a loss as she helped Greer to a 12-2 Region II-AAA softball victory over Greenville Friday.

Lauren Jarecki blasted a home run and double for her two hits that also accounted for two RBIs and two runs scored.

Danyale Davis was three-for-three including two doubles, a walk, stolen base, an RBI and two runs scored.

Samantha Bagley also had a 3-hit game including a double, stolen base and RBI.

Baleigh Coker had a productive day with two hits and three RBIs and three runs scored. She was also walked.

It’s the second win for Greer over Greenville this season, winning 15-0 in early March. Friday’s victory also ended a three-game week for Greer with a 2-1 record.

Greer plays four region games next week, all on the road – Monday at Eastside, Tuesday at Travelers Rest, Thursday at Riverside and Saturday at Pickens. All games are 6 p.m. except Saturday’s game at 2 p.m. 

Greer will be off for spring break April 13 until hosting Southside for a 6 p.m. game on Tuesday April 22.
