Walters awarded NGU Fellows Scholarship

Rylie Walters, a senior at Blue Ridge High School, has been awarded the Crusader Fellows Scholarship by North Greenville University.

She was chosen to receive the scholarship on the basis of her academic achievement, school, church, and community involvement.

Walters interviewed and competed for the scholarship during Scholarship Interview Day at North Greenville University on Feb. 26. With satisfactory academic progress, this scholarship will guarantee the full cost of tuition, room and board for four years of attendance at NGU.

The Crusader Fellows Scholarship is awarded to students who are residents of South Carolina that qualify for the state’s Palmetto Fellows Scholarship.

Walters has been accepted into the class of 2020 and plans to enroll in August of this year.

She is the daughter of Shane and Lori Walters of Travelers Rest.
