Students in Sarah Tanner’s Washington Center Homebound Program have been studying sea turtles and their habitats.

The students reviewed water related science concepts including floating and sinking.

Students read articles from News2You, a weekly pictorial newspaper, and answered related questions using voice output devices. They participated in a science experiment which compared the properties of salt water to fresh water. The students observed raw eggs in salt water and in fresh water. They then predicted outcomes about being better able to float in the ocean or in a lake.
