The Wild Ace Pizza and Pub under construction at 103 Depot Street is taking shape.

The airplane tower-like structure, 36-feet-high, is apparent and steel beams outline the seating area of the restaurant.

The new restaurant will feature 3,200-square-feet of dining space and a 40 x 80 foot outdoor deck.

Owners Chris and Denise VandenBerghe have tentatively scheduled the opening of the aviation-themed restaurant in the second quarter of 2015.

While utilities are being connected to the structure Greer CPW will replace some of the aging infrastructure on Depot and the city will mill and pave the street. The city will put in sidewalks, streetlights, curb, gutters and storm drainage.
