Outback’s television promotions guaranteed a Bloomin’ Onion to guests for a University of South Carolina victory and coconut shrimp for a Michigan win in the Outback Bowl.
South Carolina won, 33-28, in a thriller with former Boiling Springs High School standout Dylan Thompson throwing a 56-yard touchdown pass to Damiere Byrd in the final minute.
There’s just a little caveat. The Bloomin’ Onion is free. But guests must make a purchase and say “Outback Bowl” to receive the appetizer.
