3 resident artists to launch the Greer Center for the Arts at a Nov. 3 celebration

The first three artists in residence at the Greer Center for the Arts have been selected. The new name of the building reflects the city’s change from the previous City Auditorium.

Robin Byouk, director of Greer Cultural Arts, told GreerToday, photographers Rachel Babb and Blaine Owens of Greenville and Amy Bright, a belly dancer and the designer of jewelry, are the first three artists working out of the newly renovated building.

17 bike racks delivered to city to enhance downtown, bike trails master plan

Seventeen bike racks have been delivered to the City of Greer as part of its long-term walking and bike trails master plan.
 

Seventeen bike racks have been delivered to the City of Greer as part of its long-term walking and bike trails master plan.

The racks are an investment from Partnership for Tomorrow, a think tank of Greer leaders who helps steer the city’s future development and quality of life.
