Packed Gibbs Stadium welcome Panthers to first summer camp practice

A packed Gibbs Stadium crowd welcomed the 2015 National Football Conference champions Carolina Panthers back to camp Thursday night at Wofford College.

Quarterback Cam Newton, linebacker Luke Kuechly, running back Jonathan Stewart received huge roars from the Panthers fans. Perhaps the loudest was for Kelvin Benjamin, a wide receiver making his return to the Panthers after tearing his ACL a year ago in camp in Spartanburg.

Morrison comes home to Wofford to speak all things Panthers as the team's President

Carolina Panthers President Danny Morrison spoke at the Spartanburg Chamber of Commerce Friday.

Morrison, a former Wofford College Athletic Director and Senior Vice President, was handpicked by Panthers owner Jerry Richardson to be the second in command. Richardson has made Wofford College the Panthers summer practice facility ever since Morrison was AD, beginning in 1985.

Panthers report to camp; Kids Kickoff party and first practice is Thursday at Wofford

Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen and the Carolina Panthers reported to training camp at Wofford College Wednesday.
 

The Carolina Panthers quest to get back to the Super Bowl started today as the players reported to Training Camp early Wednesday morning in Spartanburg. Each player is expected to take a conditioning test.

Also Wednesday, the Panthers signed safety Kurt Coleman to a three-year contract extension. Coleman is now under contract with Carolina through the 2019 season.
