Moonlight Movies begin a 9-week run in June at City Park

Free family friendly films and pre-movie fun is scheduled at the City of Greer Moonlight Movies series in the City Park amphitheater each Thursday beginning June 4 through July 30.

All movies begin at dusk, but inflatables, games with prizes and dancing begins at 6:30 p.m.

'Faces in the Mirror' play explores subject of domestic abuse

“Faces in the Mirror”, a play exploring the subject of domestic abuse, will be performed at the Greer Opry House April 1-3 at 7:30 p.m. The play is being produced as the final thesis project of three Theatre Arts Graduate students in Greenville.

Admission is $8. The Opry House is at 107 Cannon Street.

Sister Hazel to headline Greer Family Fest
MAR 10, 2015

The 31st Annual Pelham Medical Center Family Fest events and its main entertainment was announced at Greer City Park today. Left to right: Mark Owens (President/CEO Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce), Tony Painter (festival chairperson), Tony Kouskolekas, (President of Pelham Medical Center) and Jeff Howell (commission chairman at Greer Commission of Public Works).
 

Sister Hazel, an alternative rock band named for a local missionary who ran a homeless shelter, from Gainesville, Fla., will be the headline act at the 31st annual Greer Family Fest May 1-2.

New River Bluegrass, a Greer band that has reached the top of gospel music charts, and will perform at Dollywood during Memorial Day weekend, is also scheduled to perform.
