A Greer woman is wanted for a residential burglary that occurred on New Year’s Day. The Greer Police Department (GPD) is requesting assistance from the community to help locate the suspect.
Officers are looking for Ashley Marie Jones, 32, who is wanted on a felony charge of Burglary 2nd Degree, according to Lt. Patrick Fortenberry of the GPD.
Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office have made another arrest against Eduardo Mendoza,41, in connection with a separate incident involving Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor.
This past December, Mendoza was arrested after investigators learned of him molesting a minor who he was coaching through the YMCA. Following the release of that story, another victim, unaffiliated with the YMCA or any children’s organization, came forward regarding Mendoza inappropriately touching her at some time between April and September of 2016.
A mother of three children was charged with three counts of neglect when she left her children alone and a 12-year-old accidently shot a sibling Friday afternoon in Greer.
The three children were left alone overnight and throughout the day on Chandler Road, according to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators reported the shooting was the result of the boy taking possession of a firearm in his house and accidentally discharging it, which subsequently struck a sibling, a 10 year-old child, according to a spokesperson with the GCSO.
A domestic violence and kidnapping suspect was found dead inside a Berea home after SWAT surrounded the house and fired tear gas inside, a Greenville County Sheriff Office spokesperson said Tuesday.
Greenville County deputies and the Sheriff’s Office SWAT team arrived at the Pine Grove Lane home around 2 p.m. Tuesday. Deputies were attempting to serve warrants on Charles Eugene Van Norman II, 42, for a domestic violence incident on Sheldon Road on Monday, according to the GCSO report.
A 3-year-old Greer boy is in critical condition at Greer Memorial Hospital as a result of an accidental shooting Monday evening.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office reported deputies responded to the Greer hospital at 6:30 p.m. in reference to the gunshot victim.
Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office have arrested 28 year-old, Earl Tyric Smiley in connection to the back-to-back shootings that occurred in the early morning hours of January 6.
During the course of investigation, investigators learned that Smiley, who was at an establishment called “Boom Boom Boom” at 3803 White Horse Road, got into an altercation with a female before another individual intervened, reported Lt. Ryan Flood of the GCSO.
Two men have been arrested in connection with the Dec. 26 homicide of Hall Eskew, whose body was found near the railroad tracks close to Chick Springs Road and Michell Drive in Taylors, the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday.
GCSO investigators have arrested Sevarrgio Senwuez Rector, 30, and Harrison Christopher Gregory, 32.
