6 Media Women of SC earn national honors

Six members of Media Women of South Carolina have been named national winners in the annual National Federation of Press Women (NFPW) communications contest.

Winners with name, place and category are:

• Pamela Graham Anderson, First, Radio and television advertising – Television

• Cheri Anderson-Hucks, Second, Community, institutional, or internal

• Cheri Anderson-Hucks, Third, Single advertisements for print or electronic publication

• Jane Beckler Bird, Third, Single advertisements for print or electronic

• Jane Beckler Bird, Third, Brochures - Nonprofit, government, or educational

• Jane Beckler Bird, Honorable mention, Website edited/managed by entrant - Nonprofit, government, educational

• Meg Hunt, Second, Catalogs, manuals, and handbooks

• Meg Hunt, Third, Brochures - Nonprofit, government, or educational

• Pat Sutphin, Honorable mention, Website edited/managed by entrant - Nonprofit, government, educational

• Christina Vandiver, Third, Single advertisements for print or electronic publication

• Christina Vandiver, honorable mention, Website edited/managed by entrant - Nonprofit, government, educational

Winning entries were among those selected from 1,000 submitted in 76 categories. All entries in the national contest, judged by professionals from across the country, also received first-place awards in the state contest.

Contest awards will be presented Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, at the NFPW Communications Conference in Anchorage, Alaska.
