Adult CSI Camp scheduled at Greer Police Department

Adults are invited to a free CSI: Camp July 30-Aug. 3 at the Greer Police Department.

Lt. Jim Holcombe and Angie Childers, who held a successful youth CSI: Camp last month is making the same experience available for 12-20 adults. Classes are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Greer PD.

“A later time will allow for adults getting off work to grab a bite to eat and come by. We also will be excluding Wednesday from the week to avoid conflict with church,”  Holcombe said.

The camp will provide hands-on learning and practical exercises including:

• Crime scene processing

• Fingerprinting in which each student will receive its own kit

• Development of latent prints

• Lifting shoe impressions

• Other crime scene investigative processes and techniques

Childers and Holcombe hope the camp interests adults to pursue a career in law enforcement with the seminars presented by officers and specialists.
