American begins twice daily flights to Miami
It’s now much easier to travel from the Upstate to South Florida.

American Airlines began providing nonstop flights to Miami International Airport (MIA) Wednesday with new service from Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP).

“It is always exciting to add new destinations and to expand relationships with existing airline partners,” said Dave Edwards, GSP’s president and CEO. “Miami is a popular city for vacations and it’s also an international hub that provides connections to the Caribbean, Central and South America.”

American will offer two flights daily using 50-seat ERJ-145 regional jet aircraft.

Tickets for these flights are on sale now and can be booked at aa.com.

American offers up to 21 daily nonstop departures from GSP to six destinations including Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C, and the new service to Miami.

In 2018, GSP added new nonstop service to five destinations and welcomed Frontier Airlines resulting in more than 12 consecutive months of growth in passenger activity.
