“Annie” is coming to Greer for a six-performance engagement Nov. 4-13 at the J. Harley Bonds Career Center.
Annie, the popular comic strip is a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan.
Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and finds a new family and home in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell and a lovable mutt named Sandy.
Performances are weekends of Nov. 4-6 and 11-13. Friday and Saturday performances are 7 p.m. and Sunday matinees are 2 p.m. Admission is $13 for adults, $10 for students/seniors and $6 for children under 5.
