Tom and Edna had to take cover under an umbrella during the performance of the Piedmont Boys at the park's amphitheater. A brief shower thinned the late afternoon crowd.
The inaugural Kegs & K’s run was held in Greer Saturday with a 4k road race. Runners participating were welcomed with a free beer at the start and rewarded with another beer at the finish.
Runners began and finished at the City Park entrance after a trip up and back along Cannon Street.
“We had (120) runners register and that’s pretty good for a first time. We’re looking forward to second annual event here next year,” said Carolina Robertson, Executive Director for Greer Relief. Proceeds benefit the non-profit.
