Benton Blount is already rehearsing for "America's Got Talent" final round.

Benton Blount survived Live Round 1 at Radio City Music Hall last week in “America’s Got Talent”. Live Round 2 will be aired Tuesday with the results scheduled on Wednesday’s show.

Blount, 34, the popular singer from Greenville, has entertained Greer audiences at festivals and venues.

AGT judges have been responsive with positive feedback throughout Blount’s performances.

Blount considers his fans his friends and welcomes them into his home and plays music in his man cave. His lifestyle is transparent on social media.

Blount spent time talking with Julie McCombs in an exclusive GreerToday.com interview.

Julie: The pressure is building each week, how are you managing it?

Benton: I am already doing rehearsals for final round, even though it is a month away. I am already in prep mode. I am still in New York City, but about to fly home. I am sure the nerves will sink in once I get home and have time to think about it. I am super busy now but it is a "great busy", a great learning experience.

Julie: The last time we spoke, you were excited about performing at Radio City Music Hall. What was it like being on that stage?

Benton: It was an overwhelming feeling, because of the great people who have performed there. It was an honor to be included among the elite performers that have been on that stage.

Julie: You are getting video support from so many fans, even The Bellamy Brothers. How did that happen?

Benton: I want my fans to be a part of my experience and consider them a growing group of friends. Friends got my judge cut tape to (The Bellamy Brothers). They saw it with a message from my friends asking them to give a shout out and they did. They were on tour overseas and reached out to me.

Julie: Can you give us a sneak peek or description of your next performance? Will you be performing any country crunk?

Benton: As much as I would like to perform my own music, I know my friends and long-time fans know that style. For now I am going to continue what I am doing and my next performance will be an extension on this last performance but even more of a surprise.

Julie: Even though Heidi Klum seems to be your biggest fan, each judge appears to enjoy your performances. What is it like performing for the judges each week?

Benton: Mel B (Melanie Brown) is always giving me positive criticism and I agree with her. She mentioned that I need to be more than the guy with the guitar, and I brought that this week. It is a motivator for me and it is driving me to be a better artist.

Julie: The video of you moving into your new home was taken about a month after you moved into a house with a yard. What was it like having America come into your home last week?

Benton: Cool! We used to live in a small townhome and have never had a lot. Our parents have helped us get into this home and have even helped with furniture. Lots of things were given to us.
