Signage for The Blue Ridge Brewing Co. has been posted at 308 Trade Street.
The opening is rescheduled to late May, according to Bob Hiller, owner/operator of the brewpub.
The Blue Ridge Brewing Co. is beginning to see the foam on top of their beer.
Bob Hiller, owner of Greer’s restaurant and craft brewpub at 308 Trade Street, is awaiting for clearance on the alcohol beverage permit from SLED to announce an official opening date.
Greer’s lone brewpub is expanding and will offer chef-prepared food.
The Southern Growl at 6 South Buncombe Road will open the Gastro Pub as a restaurant that adjoins the brewpub. A wall will be knocked out that will allow customers to order a craft beer from Southern Growl and walk through to the Gastro Pub for their food.
The Blue Ridge Brewing Co. in Greer is scheduled to open in April, according to owner Bob Hiller. It will feature a full-scale brewery next door.
“I don’t like opening restaurants in winter and the Greer rooftop is so important to us we feel pretty confident that we can be open in the first or second week of April,” Hiller told GreerToday.com.
Next on tap for downtown Greer is the Blue Ridge Brewing Company.
Bob Hiller, founder and owner of Blue Ridge, said downtown Greer can expect a new neighbor this fall. “We’ve already done a tremendous amount of work there and can’t give a set date for opening, but I would say it would be this fall,” Hiller said.
Blue Ridge Brewing Company is coming to Greer and will occupy the former building that housed The Cazbah at 308 Trade Street.
It will be the brewing company’s second location. It has played a vital part in Greenville downtown’s resurgence and is located at 217 N. Main Street.
