Blue Ridge choir has fundraiser for significant competition to replace cancelled state championship
The Blue Ridge High Honors Choir has launched its last fundraiser of the year to raise money to travel to the Smoky Mountains Festival in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., next year.

Due to the choir state competition getting canceled, the school is reaching out for community support to compete in what students call “really prestigious competition”.

The group is selling Chick-fil–A calendars with deals and discounts on certain products at restaurant locations around the Upstate.

Each calendar is $7, and $3 will go towards the trip. All checks must be made out to Blue Ridge High School, and the deadline to purchase is Friday, Nov. 18.

The fundraiser is individual and each member of the group can accept payments.

“We aren’t all about competition, but it’s something we strive for,” Sage Hill said. “Having this competition lets us, and especially the seniors, have something to look forward to.”

Hill was a member of the BRHS volleyball team, which just finished the season hosting their first playoff game in over 10 years.

Contact Director Laura Morris for more details on how to contribute.
