Joe Baldwin of Greer is seeking re-election for District 18 County Council.

Joe Baldwin of Greer is seeking re-election for District 18 County Council.

Kimberly Bookert (District 3) has filed for re-election in the July 24 municipal election and Joe Baldwin (District 18) has filed to retain his seat for Greenville County Council.

Bookert’s filing means that all incumbent city council members, Jay Arrowood (District One) and Wryley Bettis (District 5) are running for re-election.

Mayor Rick Danner is expected to file for re-election Tuesday.

Jerry Balding is the only candidate to file for Greer Commissioner of Public Works.

The deadline to file for municipal elections is April 20.

Baldwin of Greer previously served on Greer City Council for 15 years. Primaries for Greenville County is June 12 with elections on Nov. 6

Baldwin's district encompasses Greer, parts of Blue Ridge and Taylors. Baldwin serves on the Public Works and Infrastructure Committee and the Planning and Development Committee.

Friday noon ends filing to appear on the county council ballot.
