Broadus B. Dobson, Greer favorite son, 88, dies

Broadus B. Dobson, lifelong resident of Greer, and a member of city council for 16 years, died today. He was 88.

Broadus B. Dobson, lifelong resident of Greer, and a member of city council for 16 years, died today. He was 88.

Broadus Bailey Dobson, 88, lifelong resident of Greer and former city councilman, died today.

Dobson, born Aug. 29, 1924, graduated Greer High School and attended Clemson University. He was the owner of BB Dobson Used Cars for more than 45 years and served on the Greer City council for 16 years.

Dobson was a life-long member of Memorial United Methodist Church and served on numerous committees. He was presented United Methodist Church, Special Mission Recognition Award by the United Methodist Women.
