Burger King rolls out new menu
In the next 12 months, Burger King and its franchisees will be revamping the menu and updating the look.

The menu revamping, which is being unveiled today, has several new items.

At $2.99, the new chicken strips are the only ones on the market made with 100 percent "white tenderloin" chicken, according to the company.

Additions to its $4.99 Garden Fresh Salads line are Caesar (with shaved Parmesan cheese and home-style croutons), BLT (with three cheeses and thick-cut bacon) and chicken, apples and cranberry salad.

Two new snack wraps on the menu (honey mustard and ranch), at $1.59, are aimed at boosting late-day and late-night snack sales.

New, $2.29 BK Fruit Smoothies, tropical mango and strawberry banana, also roll out today. So do $2.29 mocha and caramel frappés.

Burger King also is slowly making changes to its decor. Most Burger Kings will get digital menu boards that replace the slat-laden boards of the past. Chairs and tables will mostly be moveable, not cemented to the ground. Some new BKs will even have some softer chairs that feel more like couches. And BK's red and yellow color palate will be much more evident inside the store, according to the company.
