Greer returns all its players from last year and still remains a young team competing for the Region II-3A championship.
Bree Burnette, a 6-year player, is the only senior although as long as junior Kylie Sandusky, 5th year, has been playing some opponents will wish they had moved on.
Coach Linda Sandusky said, “Our goal is to win the region and qualify for the playoffs.” Greer finished just out of the playoffs last year in fourth place.
This year’s team:
Bree Burnette, senior
Bree is the captain and is playing her sixth year and is a 4-yeear letterman. She plays No. 2 singles and teams with Kylie Sandusky at No 1 doubles.
Kylie Sandusky, junior
Kylie plays No 1 singles and doubles with Bree Burnette. Kylie, playing her fifth year, has lettered the past four.
Brianna Rodriguez, junior
Brianna, playing at No. 5 singles, is another veteran although she is only a junior. This is Brianna’s fourth year on the team and is a 3-year letterman.
Hannah Taylor, sophomore
Hannah lettered last year as a freshman and is playing her second year. She will play No. 2 doubles.
Jonae Rawls, freshman
Jonae has already lettered twice. She is playing her third year and will play No. 3 singles.
Morgan Davis, freshman
Morgan will play No. 4 singles. She is playing for her third season on the team and has lettered the past two.
Makayla Cain, sophomore, third year on the team.
Madison Harvey, sophomore, second year on the team.
Hanna Henlinem, 7th grade, first year on the team.
Gracie Harvel, 8th grade, first year player.
Emily Swearingin, 8th grade, first year player.
