The Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce received a Grand Award for its GreerMade video “Learn the Trade”.

The video features local students explaining why they have chosen to go into skilled or STEM related careers. Students from Chandler Creek Elementary, Greer High School and Harley Bonds Career were included in the video produced by video production company SlicedTomato.

“We are excited to be recognized as a Grand Award winner two years in a row, but we are more excited to showcase our local schools and students. Our ‘Learn the Trade’ video celebrates these students and their future careers,” said Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Mark Owens.

Presented annually by Alexandria, Va.-based Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, the Communications Excellence awards program is designed to celebrate exceptional work in the areas of advertising and marketing, campaigns, digital and publications. A panel of peers from North America evaluated submissions and selected top entries for recognition.

Twelve of the 49 award-winning entries are Grand Award winners and 37 are Award of Excellence winners.

“Communicating effectively is vital for chambers of commerce and grabbing attention is becoming increasingly challenging. This year’s award-winning entries represent work that’s not only effective, but incredibly creative and innovative,” said Ben Wills, director of communications and marketing for the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives.
