Chandler Creek Elementary invited Boosterthon to help launch awareness to renovate and improve three playgrounds.
The elementary school, with more than 1,000 students, wants to purchase new slides and swings, climbing items, a rock wall and jungle gyms. The fundraising program will also purchase more sports equipment and goals.
Students participated in daily character lessons and earned prizes and incentives from teachers and the team.
Most of the students completed a 35-lap challenge. Chandler Creek staff and the PTA will collect the pledges from this week’s activities and begin working toward playground improvements.
