The anticipation of winning at match bingo was overwhelming.
They were rewarded with books, played math bingo for prizes and had a food reception for the success they have achieved from weeks of tutoring by the Delta Kappa Gamma, Alpha Alpha Chapter, a teacher’s society in Greer.
Sam Ali, the on-site coordinator and the teachers have tutored, provided school supplies, games and books for children over 5-years-old. The 492 books issued Thursday through a $2,400 FirstBooks grant provided each child eight to add to their home library.
Other program coordinators included Gail Clifton, Amy Clifton Keely and Priscilla Watson.
