The Chocolate Toad is becoming a haven for artists.

Mark Tucker has designed a new logo for the signage that greets customers to the downtown boutique restaurant at 224 Trade Street.

Tucker, a graphic designer with YourMark and artist who also did a watercolor of Trade Street, described the updated Chocolate Toad logo and signage.

“Neile (Bramlett) wanted the logo to be colorful and vibrant, eye catching, fun and happy, and clean, which carries across to their food selections and colorful artwork on the walls,” Tucker said.

“So we changed the brown circle with a white circle. I want to bring more color to Downtown Greer so this sign is a part of that challenge,” Tucker said.

Tucker’s bold design for the GreerToday.com sign also signals the offices of the daily, online news vehicle at 217 Trade Street.

Taylors artist Joe Everson’s series of Hollywood personalities are also on display at the Chocolate Toad. His newest addition is the iconic “I Love Lucy” on the chocolate candy line.
