The City of Greer is now accepting entries for The 2013 "Greer: An Upstate Destination" Juried Art Exhibition.
The exhibition is open to artists living within a 50 mile radius of Greer. Entries must be inspired by or represent the City of Greer and cannot have been entered in its previous art shows/contests.
All media and art styles will be considered. An Upstate Destination Jury Committee will serve as the final authority on eligibility. The committee will consist of Greer business leaders and jurors. Entries are due by 5 p.m. on March 6. Winners will be notified March 15.
All entries must be hand delivered to the City of Greer Business Offices (Bottom floor 301 E. Poinsett St.) Monday, March 4, through Wednesday, March 6, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Cash prizes are to be determined and will be distributed in both divisions (professional and student) for Best in Show, 2nd Place, 3rd Place and a Merit Award. All winners will be on display in the City Hall Wall Gallery through April and should be priced to sell.
Exhibition dates are March 22-24 at the Event Center.
Entry fees are $20 each for professsional artists $10 each for student artists.
An awards ceremony and artist reception will be held March 22, 6-8 p.m.
