Rick Danner filed for a fifth term for Greer mayor.

 

 

Incumbent Rick Danner filed his intent today to run for a fifth term as the city of Greer mayor.

Danner is vice president of development and community relations at Greer State Bank.

Three city council seats and Jeff Howell’s seat as Commissioner of Public Works are up for the Nov. 3 election.

Filing opened today and runs through Aug. 17 and will be accepted on weekdays, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., at Greer City Hall, 301 E. Poinsett Street, with Municipal Clerk Tammy Duncan.

City council candidates must reside in the district, which they are filing.

Positions up for election, term and filing fees are:

• Mayor Rick Danner, at-large, four years, $125.

Danner filed for a fifth term on July 15

• Jay Arrowood, Council District One, four years, $70.

• Kimberly Bookert, Council District Three, four years,  $70.

• Wryley Bettis, Council District Five, four years, $70.

• Jeff Howell, Greer Commissioner of Public Works, six years, $125.
