Jimmy Payne, General Sales Manager for D&D Motors, said it’s the giving back to the community that makes the promotion unique. “We care about the town we live in and we’re inviting everybody out that Saturday,” Payne said. “We’re big supporters for the city of Greer.”
The event is 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. at the new dealership at 13655 E. Wade Hampton Blvd.
Skip Davenport, President and General Manager, and Payne have come up with a mathematical equation they hope will raise the maximum $6,000 for GCM. “We’ll have about 10 vehicles and members of the (GCM) board help with the test drives,” Payne said. Employees at D&D are also helping.
Payne said the Fusion, the No. 1 best selling car in the U.S., and its widely popular trucks will be among the test drive vehicles.
The Drive 4 UR Community is an initiative D&D Motors, in conjunction with Ford Motor Company, launched last year that introduces the community to its inventory of vehicles and provides much needed resources for Greer Community Ministry and its core programs – Meals on Wheels, Senior Dining, a food pantry and Sharon’s closet.
The public is invited to invite $20 that will go toward the event’s proceeds for GCM.
