Police, according to the incident report, had received complaints about alleged drug activity at 212 Oakland Avenue. They were conducting surveillance when occupants at that address left and drove off in a silver Ford Explorer that was eventually stopped for a traffic violation.
Tenille Horton, the driver of the vehicle, was charged with drug possession and conspiracy. Passengers Terra Haney was charged with conspiring to manufacture meth and Mendez was charged with conspiracy to manufacture meth and four counts of manufacturing meth in the presence of a child.
A search warrant obtained by police to search the suspects’ Oakland Place Apartment home found remnants of a meth lab. A search at 165 Oakland Place Apartment, where the children lived, found articles of another alleged meth lab.
The four children, ages infant to 7-years-old, were put in custody of the Department of Social Services.

Tara Haney, 31, Conestee, manufacturing meth.
Cherie Maes, 23, Greer, conspiracy to manufacture meth and exposing child to meth.
Timothy Maes, 28, Greer, conspiracy to manufacture meth.
Steven Nathaniel Lee, Greer, conspiracy to manufacture meth.

There will often be more activity going on at these kinds of drug houses, and more garbage will be produced as a result of a meth lab.
Residents operating a meth lab will want to keep to themselves, and often have shades drawn on the windows at all times.
Walking into a house where meth is being made, one would notice chemical stains in places like bathroom or kitchen fixtures, and there would be supplies necessary to make meth, such as propane tanks, mason jars, plastic tubing, ammonia, lithium batteries, and empty pill bottles.
