Eastside wins 12th state wrestling championship

Eastside won its second straight state wrestling championship Saturday at Dreher High School.

Just the facts

• No. 1 ranked Eastside beat No. 4 ranked Chapin, 59-11.

• Eastside won its 12th state championship, tying Summerville for most overall. Rock Hill leads with 17 state championships.

• EHS won 11 of 14 matches.

• EHS finished 38-11 (A team 30-0, B team 8-11)

• Chapin finished 20-5.
