STAFF REPORTS
Published on Friday, October 14, 2011

FATZ will host a pancake breakfast at the 1361 W. Wade Hampton Blvd. restaurant in Greer on Oct. 15, to benefit Dennis Krett who was critically injured in a car accident in June.
From 7 - 10 a.m., FATZ will open its doors to members of the community and transform into a hotspot for hotcakes to raise money to support Krett. With Marathon Church supporting the breakfast, proceeds from the breakfast will be used to fund Krett?s physical therapy rehabilitation from multiple fractured bones and a spinal injury sustained in the accident.
Tickets for Short Stacks for Big Change are $7 and may be purchased by contacting Katie Cleveland at [email protected] or 864-609-1686.
All attendees are encouraged to bring a donation to fuel FATZ fundraising efforts for Krett and his family.
FATZ introduced the idea of Short Stacks for Big Change in 2009 with the specific purpose of making a difference and helping the local community grow where every restaurant is located. Since its inception, FATZ has raised more than $800,000 for charities and community organizations.
FATZ opens daily at 11 a.m. serving lunch and dinner to regulars, but on Saturdays, FATZ® staff volunteer alongside members of the community to raise money for organizations ranging from local schools to The United Way.
