Food trucks, games, entertainment are on tap Thursday at Greer City Hall.

The food trucks are rolling into City Park Thursday for a return engagement by popular demand.

“We are reaching out to that group of people, young professionals, to provide a more adult event at City Park and if it can flourish,” City Events Supervisor Ashlyn Stone said.

Greer had its first Food Truck Rollout last month with about 300 people attending.

Thursday’s event is 5-8 p.m. “I’m in my twenties and live around younger people. We’re looking for a place to have a good time in a low key atmosphere and meet people in our age group,” Stone said.

Thursday’s food trucks are The Chuck Truck, Half Apped, Cluck Squeal and Friends and Sweetly Twisted. Thomas Creek beverages will be served by Greer Relief staff.

Cornhole, horseshoe, bocce ball and Dave Brothers will be providing acoustic medleys throughout the evening.

“We had a great turnout for our first Food Truck Rollout and were ecstatic,” Stone said. “We’re trying to see if this is something Greer wants four times a year or more often,” Stone said.

The first Food Truck Rollout of 2017 will be a New Year’s celebration scheduled for Jan. 20 at City Park.

Valid ID is required to purchase alcohol. Outside alcohol and coolers are prohibited. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
