The marker outside the entrance to Dooley Field was given a cleaning and the area around it landscaped.
Friends of the high school and booster club pitched in to help landscape the circular area that has a marker. Some football players came by after practice Saturday to lend a hand.
The volunteers, some who contributed four days of labor, put the finishing touches with the planting of the sod, bushes and flowers purchased by the booster club.
