Greer Community Ministries (GCM) has a new milk cooler through a $5,000 grant from the Greer State Bank Foundation.

“Greer State Bank employees deliver a regular Meals on Wheels route, they volunteer at our events, serve on our board, and help us in so many ways throughout the year,” said Cindy Simpler, GCM executive director.

“This gift from their foundation is just another way they are helping us feed people right where we all live. Our old cooler was on its last leg, so these funds came at just the right time.”

GCM uses the cooler for the milk that is provided with about 300 Meals on Wheels lunches each week day. The milk is also served to Senior Diners at the ministry.
