Brittney Nicole Goldsmith has been arrested in connection with Nishan Huff’s murder. in 2006.
As of Tuesday, Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office have obtained a warrant for 53-year-old Frank Rozier and 38-year-old Brittney Nicole Goldsmith in connection with Huff’s murder.
During the investigation, investigators re-interviewed existing witnesses and newly developed witnesses, which resulted in new information leading to the probable cause needed to obtain warrants. While the motive for the killing is still under investigation, investigators believe the victim and Rozier knew each other.
Investigators learned that on June 7, 2006, Nishan’s boyfriend left their apartment, located at 300 Furman Hall Road, between 3:30 – 4 p.m. Investigators believe that during that time, Rozier responded to their apartment, went inside, where he shot and killed Huff. After Huff’s boyfriend returned to the apartment, Huff’s body was discovered in the kitchen. She was found with at least one gunshot wound to the head.
Investigators believe Goldsmith covered up the crime for Rozier by providing false information to law enforcement and intimidating a witness not to come forward. Rozier is in custody in Georgia awaiting extradition back to Greenville. Goldsmith is in the Greenville County Detention Center.
The two are facing the following charges:
Frank Rozier
• Murder
• Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime
Brittney Goldsmith
• Accessory after the Fact
Investigators are continuing to investigate if any other parties are involved. This case marks the eighth solved cold case since the unit’s inception in August 2020.
