The Greer High Virtual Enterprise Program  Business Plan Team placed first at the state competition Jan. 15 in Columbia. This is the third year in a row that Greer students have claimed the top spot and the fourth time overall. This win makes Greer the winningest school in the history of South Carolina Virtual Enterprise.

Students were required to create their own company and were responsible for the design and creation of all aspects of a real business. Scores were based on a pre-submitted 35-page business plan, two rounds of presentation where students had 12 minutes to share their idea to a panel of state business leaders, and an 8-minute question and answer session to defend the strengths of their concept.

The students now advance to National Competition in New York City in April.

The team adviser is Adam Massey.
