The Greer Cultural Arts program under the city's Parks and Recreation Department, asked students to submit artwork depicting what they were thankful for at Thanksiving. "The program is free and it gives students who may not be able to afford to enter art contests an opportunity to participate in ours," said Laurie Campbell, Events Supervisor.
Mayor Rick Danner posed with the students and City Council applauded the winners, many who were accompanied by their families in a standing room only crowd in a City Hall meeting room.
The contest was open to grades K-12 with separate age divisions. The list of winners, grade and artwork is listed below.
