This former car wash will be rebuilt into the Grain Loft.
The Grain Loft will move from 1987 S. Highway 101 to the site of a vacant car wash with the building that will undergo a rebuild.
“We’re interested in a better location,” Richard Carnaban, owner, said. “We will have a café and offer organic breads and pizza.”
The Grain Loft features raw milk, farm fresh eggs, local honey and fresh milled flour. It lists products of mostly grain, spices, beans, nuts, sweeteners, dried fruit and other baking supplies in bulk. It serves the region between Charlotte and Atlanta.
Baking and cooking classes are offered featuring the store’s products.
“We use grain in cooking for healthier foods,” Pat Schaff, founder of the business. said.
Schaff developed the retail store to transition his family from the standard American diet to one based on the principals of Nourishing Traditions and the Western A. Price Foundation, wrote on the company’s website.
