Greer CPW, Police collect 286 pounds of pills on Drug Take Back Day

Greer CPW, Police collect 286 pounds of pills on Drug Take Back Day

 Greer Public Works and Greer Police Department collected 298 pounds of pills on National Take Back Drug Day on Oct. 26. The pills were collected from both the drop off box at the Greer Police Department as well as the take back day at CPW.

 “We had a successful Drug Take Back ,” according to Allison Rauch, CPW public relations coordinator.

 What was accepted:

  • Over the counter meds
  • Prescription meds
  • Pet meds                                                     

Sharp (needles) and liquids were not accepted.

If you could not make it to the event, a drop box is available 24/7 at the Greer Police Department or Greer Memorial Hospital.
