Greer girls finish season with win; Sandusky's record is 11-3

The Greer High School girls tennis team won its final match of the season, 7-0, over rival Blue Ridge Wednesday.

Greer’s win earned the Yellow Jackets a 6-6 Region II-3A record and 8-6 overall mark. Blue Ridge finished 2-10 in the region and 2-13 overall.

Kylie Sandusky, a sophomore playing at No. 1 for Greer the fourth straight season, won her match 6-0, 6-2 and finished the regular season with an 11-3 record. Sandusky, who advanced to the state championship last year, will learn at the end of the month if she made it again.

All the Greer singles players finished .500 or above this season.

Sandusky and Bree Burnette won their doubles match 8-1.
