This appears to be the year Greer Idol and Idol Teen contestants have the highest odds of winning first place prize money. The Idol winner gets $1,500 and Idol Teen wins $500.
No Idol or Teen contestants have been eliminated entering the mid-point of the seven-week competition.
Walt Brown was cut from Idol more by being a no-show than his singing. And a “judges save” was instituted to bring back previously eliminated Will Rawls. The field is at seven singers.
No Idol Teens have been eliminated with the six-girl field intact.
The Flashbacks is the band featured for Tunes in the Park. The group plays 50s, 60s, 70s and beach music, covering rock and roll and beach and soul.
Idol Teen is 6 p.m, The Flashbacks first set is 7, Greer Idol at 8 and the band plays its second set at 9 p.m.
