The little girl in the photo to the left, appears to be a tad sad to see her $2 going to the Greer Idol ballot box Friday night. Casting a vote cost $1 each for three choices.

Kieffer Mendoza won Greer Idol and Kody Young won Greer Idol Teen, sponsored by Greer Cultural Arts.  They earned $1,500 and $500, respectively. It should be noted that Young was making his public singing debut in the teen competition.

The contest was shortened to three weeks when rain wiped out two of the scheduled performances.

Encore, appropriately, was the final band in the Tunes in the Park series. Overflow crowds attended the music series, held at the City of Greer Amphitheater for the first time.
