Head Coach Will Young said his team was loaded for the 2016 season. That’s a hefty statement considering Greer went unbeaten in the region and was eliminated in the second round of the state playoffs.
“Our skill players are excellent, we’re older up front and got them back, we’ve got eight receivers and good running backs,” said Young.
Directing the offense will be first-year quarterback Trey Houston. Houston is a 5-foot-10 sophomore. “He’s our best bet and came out of spring practice number one,” Young said.
Greer has its first scrimmage next Friday at Dooley Field versus Gaffney.
