The Greer softball team defeated Eastside, 9-1, Wednesday, for its third consecutive win in three days since returning from spring break. Greer is 19-3 overall in the regular season.
The win sets up Friday’s home game against Blue Ridge that will determine the Region II-3A championship. Greer won its game at Blue Ridge on April 1, 8-5.
The Yellow Jackets have outscored its opponents 49-1 in its three games this week. Southside fell victim Monday and Tuesday, 21-0 and 19-0, respectively.
Samantha Bagley only gave up one hit in the Monday shutout win while striking out five and only walking one.
