Greer tennis shuts out Landrum, wins second straight

Sandusky doesn't lose a game in No.1 singles match

Greer High School’s girls tennis team won its second straight match tonight, dominating Landrum, 7-0. The match was made up from a postponement on Sept. 17.

Kylie Sandusky, Greer’s No. 1 singles, did not lose a game and earned a doubles win with partner Bree Burnette when Landrum defaulted. Burdette coasted to her singles win at No. 2, winning 6-3, 6-0.

Greer evened its record at 4-4 overall. Landrum is 1-5.

Greer hosts Travelers Rest on Monday and plays at Eastside on Wednesday. Greer home matches are 4 p.m.

1. Sandusky d. Wilson 6-0, 6-0

2. Burnette d. Barnwell 6-3, 6-0

3. Rawls d. Dill 6-4, 6-0

4. Rodriguez d Campuzano 6-4, 6-4

5. Person d. Gilmore, 7-6 (1), 7-5

Doubles

1. Sandusky/Burnette won by default

2. Davis/Taylor d. Sloan, Skeie 6-1, 6-4
